      Dear Chris,
Thanks for the message. I am a descendant of this couple through their daughter HANNAH [1798-1850] who m. Richard WATSON Sr., then through their daughter RACHEL ANN REBECCA WATSON [1822-1877] who m. John MOORE. This Rachel certainly had a brother RICHARD WATSON b. 1827, but I have been unable to find any further information after his baptism. I have hadother queries from people trying to establish that he was the same Richard Watson who m. in NSW 1844. My research provides no clues, I fear. There is some doubt as to which ship 'our' Isaac Williams came on. He is a shifty character in a number of ways. My own research led me to believe that he was the Isaac Williams who came on the Second Fleet [1790]. The records are not good. There is doubt as to whether he was on the 'Neptune' or the 'Surprize'. Some other researchers have reached the conclusion that he was the Isaac Williams who came on the 'Matilda', 1791. What I would say now is that either is possible, and I am doubtful that we will ever know for sure. There is a brief account of my knowledge of this couple in one of my entries in First Families 2001 if you want to check -www.firstfamilies2001.com.au - or is it .net.au ??? I have quite a lot of material on Rachel & Isaac, the Watsons and various other offshoots of this family.
      Best wishes RICHARD ROWE
